Fiona Killilea – General Manager
Fiona Killilea, the new General Manager, has a wealth of experience in the catering industry from working in the Hilton group, to hosting major sporting events and high profile dinner dances at the Burlington Hotel, Westbury Hotel and Citywest Hotel.
Fiona returned to her first love, which is Galway, and opened the Clayton Hotel, and later moved on to make the Kingsvalley Hotel and Bodkin’s Bar & Grill a home away from home, offering warm, hospitable surroundings with excellent food and service.
Johnny Kelly – Executive Head Chef
A chef that needs no introduction, Galway born Johnny Kelly has travelled all over the world as an Executive Head Chef. After graduating from GMIT, he spent a short spell in London, moving then back to Dublin for a number of years before returning to Galway working in many local establishments including the Meadow Court, the Ardilaun and the Clayton Hotel.
During his career, Johnny has won numerous competitions including the culinary Olympics and has served as the national culinary Team Captain and Manager.
Johnny is now Executive Chef at the Kingsvalley where his expertise, hands on approach and wholesome award winning food will be provided at the Kingsvalley Hotel and Bodkins Bar and Grill.
Tony Newell – Bar Manager
Tony has 25 years experience in the Hotel and Catering industry. After graduating from GMIT in 1985 he has worked in many high profile establishments, Ballynahinch Castle Hotel, White Gables restaurant. Tony also managed the Huntsman Inn for 6 years. He has now joined the Kingsvalley Hotel as Bars Manager where his warm friendly attitude will ensure customer satisfaction.
